Modeling Data in an Application
Enterprise data exists across many disparate sources. To use this data to address specific use cases, you likely need to wrangle data into specific formats. A well-designed data model allows a C3 AI Application to extract business value from your data. Application data models are made up of Entity Types. These Types and their relationships create a unified federated data image, providing an operational foundation for an application where the data is:
Accessed through a consistent API syntax, regardless of the underlying data management system and storage format
Portable across various use cases, making it easy to share data and leverage investments across teams and organizations
The C3 Agentic AI Platform allows for both relational and time series data to be stored in the platform, and fundamentally supports two types of data integration:
ETL using a configured data pipeline, which writes data to the relational or time series database managed by the platform
Virtualization using a configured SqlSourceSystem JDBC source system using an external entity type
