User Activities

User activities shows how each person uses C3 Code: the chat sessions they run, the workspaces they touch, and the agent steps they run. An agent step is one action the agent takes while answering a chat. This view is where you look at people one at a time, whereas product analytics measures adoption across the whole organization. Open the Analytics section and select the Users tab.

The page opens with five summary figures and three distribution charts, then a table of every user. Selecting a user opens their own page, and from there you reach the applications and workspaces behind their activity. A time range at the top narrows everything on the page: 7 days, 30 days, 90 days, 1 year, or a range you set.

Read the summary figures

The five figures across the top summarize activity for the range you selected:

  • Applications: the distinct applications people used.
  • Unique Users: the people active in the range, labeled with the dates it covers.
  • Avg Sessions/User: sessions per user, with the total session count beneath it.
  • Avg Chats/Session: chats per session, with the total chat count beneath it.
  • Total Agent Steps: agent steps across all users.

Read the distribution charts

Three charts show how activity spreads across people:

  • Session Distribution: users grouped by how many sessions they ran, in bands of 1, 2, 3–5, 6–10, and 11+.
  • Workspace Distribution: users grouped by how many distinct workspaces they used, in bands of 1, 2, 3–4, and 5+.
  • Top 10 by Agent Steps: the ten most active users, ranked by total agent steps.

Read the distributions to tell a broad base of light users from a few heavy ones. Usage usually concentrates, so a short head of users accounts for most of the activity.

Find a user

The All User Activities table lists every user, ranked, with the workspaces, sessions, chats, and agent steps each one ran. Search by name in Search users, or select a column heading to sort by that column.

Select a user to open their activity details.

Drill into one user

A user's page opens with the same measures for that one person. Applications and Workspaces show distinct counts. Sessions, Chats, and Agent Steps each show an average: sessions per workspace, chats per session, and agent steps per chat.

The Applications table lists each application the person used, with its template and the workspace, chat-session, and chat counts for that application. Select an application to see the workspaces behind that activity.

Use the drill-down for a specific question, such as which applications one person works in or which workspace drove a spike. The summary figures and charts cover the whole organization at once.
